Welcome to The Cottage Pie

Cottage Pie is a small family run business based in Dearham at the edge of the Lake district national park.

We are proud to have supplied Dearham and the surrounding area with freshly baked quality products since 1984.

Using traditional method’s we continue to make all the old family favourites that we are best known for while our experience enables us to be creative and develop new products for today’s ever changing tastes and requirements.

Traditionally forward thinking.

Our Shop is the showcase of our business. Located in a growing village we are committed to providing an excellent range of quality items for our customers. We have all our home baked pies breads and cake’s but we also sell top grade homecooked meats, Traditional homemade Cumberland Sausage, as well as store cupboard staples such as Fresh milk, free range eggs, British cheese and a range of salad items.

The Bakery.

The bakery is the heart of our business. Our bakers start early each morning to make freshly cooked items ready for the day ahead. Ingredients are weighed, mixed and baked following closely guarded recipe’s using traditional baking methods.

We are very hands on. To get the finish we require we hand fill and glaze the pies, we hand decorate the cakes and we kneed and shape the bread and teacakes. Goods are made today to be eaten today.

Pies

We are well known for the quality of our pies. We believe that pie should be well filled with a rich quality filling and encased in freshly baked pastry.

We have a large range of pies available including the old favourites such as Steak and Meat & potato to the more unusual like Steak & cheese and Bacon & egg.

Different sizes are available to suit all requirements.

 Cakes

Cakes are one of our biggest ranges that we make. Made inhouse to ensure they are as fresh as they can be we have traybakes, small cakes, biscuits and indulgent cream cakes.
